I just loved Marianne's idea with my poem, and I found I wanted to try that opposite effect as well, so I did Andrea's haiku - which I thought was so poignant.

Hi Gab, I like this idea, but I've never really read much poety. Would it be in keeping with the spirit of the assignment if I quoted a song instead? Most of my favorite songs are poety put to music anyway.

Absolutely, Marianne - I, too, have found poetry in other places, like music, or sometimes even one line of prose is poetic! Feel free to be as creative as you want!
